You might’ve already seen my invitation to The Ripple Room.
Maybe you signed up right away. Maybe you meant to, but life got in the way. Maybe a part of you wants to join, but another part wonders, “What if I don’t belong?”
I get it. So let me tell you where I am coming from…
The Illusion of Transformation
Everyone’s selling transformation these days, right? Three-day journeys to your highest self. Weekend workshops to total liberation. Magic ceremonies that promise to change everything.
But real transformation isn’t for sale.
It doesn’t come neatly packaged in an online course. It’s not waiting in your next retreat. It’s not hiding in the heaps of perfect art supplies in that Amazon shopping cart.
Real transformation is slower. It’s subtle. It’s uncomfortable. It’s purposeful.
Real transformation is a process of unbecoming.
Of meeting yourself in every mirror you tried to break. Of making different choices, even when you crave familiar patterns.
Creativity is the same way.
It’s not something you unlock in a perfect 30-day challenge. It’s not a formula you learn in a workshop. It’s certainly not about getting “better” or “getting it right.”
We don’t learn by collecting more knowledge. We learn by observing, enacting, embodying. We learn by being one with the process.
In my experience, we learn more by way of unlearning.
But slow unfolding doesn’t sell. It doesn’t make for viral content or post-its on a wall proclaiming filled-up sessions. What sells is the illusion of a shortcut. Templates. Quick 3-step frameworks.
A clear before-and-after transformation.
Having been down this road for many years now, having witnessed my own journey, having peeled off and discarded layers upon thick layers of social conditioning, I can tell you that I still haven’t become all I can become.
Maybe I never will … who is to say what I am to be?
So, no, I do not sell any shortcuts or give you a certificate of completion.
I don’t offer that.
What I do offer is a space to be in process — without measuring, without performing, without needing to prove anything.
Because creativity doesn’t belong to the experts. It belongs to everyone willing to show up.
The Excuses We Tell Ourselves
I’ve heard the same doubts over and over again:
“I don’t have the talent.”
“I’m not an artist.”
“I don’t have the right supplies.”
But it’s never really about talent. Or the tools.
The real fears are the ones we don’t say out loud. We’re afraid of being judged. We’re afraid of failing. We’re afraid of making a fool of ourselves.
We’re afraid of starting because what if we love it so much we’ll regret all the time we didn’t?
So we don’t even try.
Instead, we admire from a distance. We watch. We consume. We tell ourselves, “That’s for them, not for me.”
But what if it is for you? What if creativity is something you don’t need permission for?
I’m not a trained artist. I don’t follow the “right” techniques. I don’t know what they are and I refuse to be bound by them. I don’t do things the “proper” way. Because self-expression doesn’t know what “proper” is — it’s untethered, untamed, unbridled.
So, The Ripple Room isn’t about teaching or guidance.
It’s about finding and building community. It’s about trusting that you are already creative. It’s about creating a space where we can all listen to the whispers of our hearts — together.
Because creativity isn’t something to be taught … it’s something to be awakened, remembered, and celebrated in community.
The Ripple Room is Happening This Friday
📆 Friday, March 7, 10-11 AM PT.
Bring any supplies you have on hand — watercolors, pencils, collage materials, or just a notebook. Or simply come to listen, reflect, and connect, no art-making required.
There’s no right way to participate. Just come as you are and invite a friend.

This is not about talent. This is not about perfection. This is not about waiting for the right time. This is about taking the first step because you want to.
See you inside.
XOXO,
Mansi

Mansi, I wonder if you and I could offer a collaborative event sometime? I've been thinking about that every time I see your drop-ins (which I would LOVE to attend, but I am managing the schedules of seven people, plus "extra" appointments for Sarah, so I can't). Just something I've been mulling over that maybe we can talk about when we Zoom?
