Oh my gosh! I’ve been so excited to see the enthusiasm around The Ripple Room! So many of you have already upgraded your subscriptions to take advantage of this new monthly creative space, and I can’t wait for our first gathering next month.
At the same time, I know some of you are feeling hesitant. Since yesterday’s post, I’ve received a few thoughtful questions, and I wanted to take a moment to address the most common ones here.
If something else is on your mind, please reach out—I’d love to have a conversation.
“I don’t feel creative enough to participate.”
Oh, friend. If that thought has ever whispered in your mind, please know—this space was made for you.
The Ripple Room isn’t for “artists” or “crafty” people—it’s for anyone who wants to reconnect with self-expression in a way that feels joyful.
We aren’t gathering to make “good” art or to finish a project. There’s no skill level required, no right way to show up.
If you’ve ever longed to feel creative but weren’t sure where to begin, this is where you begin.
“I’m not sure it’s worth it for me.”
That’s something only you can decide.
The real question is:
What would it mean to have a space where there’s no pressure, no expectation, no need to get it right—just a gentle invitation to create, in whatever way feels good to you?
This isn’t about learning how to be creative. It’s about knowing that you already are.
“I don’t have time to attend live sessions.”
Ah. Yes! Time is one of the biggest reasons we put creativity on the back burner.
We tell ourselves we’ll get to it later—when things slow down, when we have a free afternoon, when the to-do list is finally empty. But I know from personal experience: later never comes on its own.
The Ripple Room is not an obligation, but a pause—a space to step away from the noise, to breathe.
I need this space as much as you do.
It’s just one hour a month—a small but powerful act of saying, “I matter.”
“I’m waiting to see if others find it valuable first.”
Sometimes we want proof before we leap. I get it. Here’s what past members of my monthly creative spaces have said:
“You are such an encouragement—spurring us on to higher levels than we would probably ever attempt on our own.” — Susan U
“This was a fun studio hour today. I am working on celebrating the process!” — Melissa M-D
“I absolutely loved today’s Zoom! I just love our little community and so look forward to our monthly gatherings.” — Bonnie L
“I already have too many subscriptions.”
We all do. I have so many subscriptions I’ve forgotten about or don’t use.
But The Ripple Room isn’t another newsletter or course to consume—it’s a space to actively engage in something that nourishes you. Maybe this is the one subscription that doesn’t add to the noise but adds meaning.
“I can get free inspiration elsewhere.”
Absolutely. Free inspiration is amazing! But inspiration alone isn’t always enough.
How many times have you saved ideas, watched tutorials, or pinned projects—only to never start?
The Ripple Room isn’t about learning more; it’s about starting a creative practice.
“I can’t afford it right now.”
That’s completely valid. No one should stretch beyond their means just to join.
But if this is something you truly want, sometimes a small shift in priorities can make space for it. And if now isn’t the right time, that’s okay too. The door will always be open when you’re ready.
One last thing…
If you’ve been thinking about upgrading your subscription but haven’t taken the leap yet, I encourage you to pause for a moment and ask yourself: Are these real reasons—or are they fears disguised as reasons?
If it’s not the right fit, that’s completely okay. But if something inside you wants to say yes—if hesitation is coming from self-doubt, perfectionism, or waiting for the “perfect” time—consider this your nudge.
And if you’re wondering what else comes with a paid subscription, you can find all the details here: Welcome to The Ripple Room.
I hope to see you soon,
Mansi.
I joined last week. I haven’t done much of anything I consider creative since August…the two hurricanes in Florida crushed me, physically and mentally. I’ve somehow been in a BIG flare up of chronic pain since then, with minimal relief. We are moving to another state (not because of hurricanes, just bad timing, I suppose. My house sold yesterday and my stuff is getting packed in a POD for a move to North Carolina, where I don’t even have a house yet. Sounds crazy, right? Well, this is why I joined. I need that hour, I need something to look forward to, that will bring me joy. I was in the midst of starting a small business with my art and it just completely drifted away these last 3 months, due to pain and the move. Life happens. I’m trying to stay supple, to find the gentle flow not the rapids happening for me right now. I need a community. I don’t know you Mansi, but I saw some lesson you taught several years ago, and I am just drawn to this right now.
