This is a beautiful post, Mansi, and I especially love that it winds around to finally learning the name of the tree outside the window. We can’t know everything. There will always be things others know that we admire, but don’t forget that they see the same in you, certainty and knowledge that they may not have. Knowing doesn’t necessarily dispel caution or our protective implies, either.

I love the emphasis on curiosity, on seeking answers and explanations, even if we hold them only temporarily, and on naming. Naming changes our relationship to things.

Thank you, Amy. “Naming changes our relationship to things.” It’s so true. Once something is named, it’s not just observed—it’s known, claimed, woven into our memory. I’m sitting with this and it’ll likely develop into a longer post at some point, so thank you for sparking that chain of thoughts 🥰

Also, I appreciate your point about others seeing certainty in us that we might not recognize in ourselves … we often see ourselves through a myopic lens. Perhaps, that's part of what makes knowledge so fascinating … we all hold pieces that others admire or need.

And YES to holding answers temporarily! I love the idea of seeing knowledge as fluid rather than fixed. It means there is room for growth and wonder.

I appreciate you so much and am always grateful for your time and insights 🤗❤️
